I am reaching out today because my husband Junior and I (alongside a marvelous team) have completed a new short film called Not Afraid. We developed the film last year after moving to Montana while he was working on the show 1923. In Montana I became more aware of a situation known as MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women). Sadly this situation persists and has had a devastating impact on Native communities in recent years. With this film, we hope to bring greater awareness to this issue.
